an autumn afternoon in the hills

I don’t often photograph weddings, but my friend Zenith is a celebrant and sometimes I like to photograph elopements. These are really special weddings as the couple are totally there with each other, in that moment of their commitment, undistracted by any social pressures. Zenith marries them and I document and witness. It feels like a privilege to share in that moment.
This wedding was Zenith’s last before heading overseas for a while. It was such a beautiful afternoon at the Koonyum Range Retreat in the stunning Byron hinterland.
